Absolutely wonderful festival, that is very artist centered and has excellent curation. A few years ago our film En Memoria was awarded best short script which was a massive honor. This year, our film En Memoria premiered here. The team so was kind and wonderful and invested in our success as filmmakers. It felt like a big full circle moment to be screened with other wonderful films. This festival is 10000% worth it.
It was an absolute honor to premiere our short film "Buscando Alma" at Out On Film. So much joy and love goes into this festival. The entire staff was extremely organized, communicative, and so warm and welcoming to our whole team. From the screenings to the events to the Q&As, everything was beautifully put together. Our film screened alongside an incredible lineup of drama shorts. We were seriously so blown away by the quality of projects, and had the opportunity to meet amazing, like-minded filmmakers who are sure to become life long friends. Thank you Jim and everyone at Out On Film for the wonderful experience!
What a great festival! Loved Out on Film and hope to return! Great people and great films.
This was a really professionally run festival that we were honored to be a part of. The team was communicative and fast, and very friendly. And I have to say I was so impressed with how they handled things even in the face of the hurricane this year. I would very happily be a part of this festival again.
We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to screen I Hope He Doesn't Kill Me at Out on Film! Although we couldn’t attend in person, the festival’s communication and support were outstanding. A special thank you to Jim for hosting a recorded Zoom Q&A, which made us feel included despite not being in Atlanta. Out on Film has truly been a highlight of our festival journey, and we’re already looking forward to submitting future projects. Heartfelt thanks to Jim and the entire team for making this such a lovely experience!

Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
