Part of my heart is left in Austin with ARFF. This is a fest unlike any other where the emphasis is on meeting and interacting with other filmmakers in a fun and friendly environment. Watch some blocks and then talk to the filmmakers at the beautiful bar/grill. Jim and Jess have made this a haven for scrappy, indie filmmakers making art & entertainment with a range of resources and from a vastness of points of view. I am forever grateful for ARFF.

ARFF is an indie filmmaker's dream. The quality of the films programmed is equally matched by the enthusiasm and kindness of the people who made them as well as the people (Jim & Jess) who run it. My short, Delete, winning Best RomCom was simply the cherry on top of a joyful, creative, community-building weekend. If you're looking for a well-organized, fun festival to meet and connect with fellow indie filmmakers, look no further.

This is one of my favorite film festivals. It feels like what you want a festival to be. It's a bit like filmmakers summer (winter?) camp. Great festival team, great community, and always a good time.
