Thanks for sharing Sneck-Rise with your community!
CAFF is a fantastic festival that I look forward to every year. The team behind the festival are amazing, the films are all excellent, and the filmmakers that you meet are all great and talented people who live and breathe filmmaking. You go for the movies, but you stay for the incredible community at CAFF.
My team and I are so grateful to have won both the "Best Short Narrative" and "Best Lead Male Actor" awards for our film Hope You're Doing Well. Having made the film in Red Deer, it's an honour to be able to show it there once again. We will absolutely be coming back next year!
CAFF knows how to create a festival environment that is genuinely warm and welcoming. I love that film goers can see a stellar line-up right in their home town of Red Deer! This is where stories are made.
This is a delightful festival with real heart and a great team supporting the effort. Highly recommend for Alberta Filmmakers. The screenings were great and the lineup was wonderful. I saw a bunch of awesome work and new stories I would have definitely missed seeing otherwise. Fun gala with nicely catered snacks and lots of networking opportunities.
FilmFreeway reviews are filmmaker opinions, not our score. Cross-check red flags before paying fees.
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
