Out of all the film festivals I have attended this is one of the best ones yet! Thank you for awarding Pleasure, Bye with best Sci-Fi Feature. Look forward to coming back in the future!
This festival was exciting for filmmakers as well as movie goers. There was electricity in the air.
Out of all of the film festivals I've submitted entries for this year, the Culver City Film Festival (and associated festivals with their team) are the most professional, ORGANIZED, well communicated, considerate and thoughtful team I've experienced. Receiving a personal phone call from the organizers congratulating me on being included, to regular emails on program updates, to sharing guest speakers and networking opportunities - the Culver City Film Festival sets a high bar for each of us to appreciate. Highly recommend.
The festival was robust, energetic, perfectly located in LA and of course, Jon and Peter are fantastic. Peter takes the time to call filmmakers upon acceptance. Our film's projection was simply fantastic! And we won Best Mystery Short. It was a great fest and we absolutely look forward to entering again!
This week long festival is well run and presented in a beautiful theater. They offer opportunities to network throughout the week (including talks, meet & greets and a gala at the end). Great location and places to stay.
FilmFreeway reviews are filmmaker opinions, not our score. Cross-check red flags before paying fees.
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
