Our humble screenplay REZ was honored to be a winning in this wonderful festival. Documentaries Without Borders Internatinal Film Festival was worth the effort and we are pleased they gave us a fair shake regarding our contemporary Native American comedy. By recognizing the modern-day humor of Indigenous Persons, they have helped usher in this new, exciting and hilarious form of expression.
Great communication from the start. Many opportunities to compete and win. I highly recommend this Festival. 10 Stars!!!!
That was a great experience. Thank you!
I thought it was cool, I wish I would’ve won something
I made the mistake of submitting my films at the same time to this (so called) film festival and to “Nature Without Borders International Film Festival” (both run by the same people). First results came from “Nature without borders…” and based on what I found out there, I didn’t even bothered opening the email announcing me that in “Documentaries without borders” I won an award, it was irrelevant (by the way: anybody is a winner in these festivals:) ). ONCE PEOPLE FIGURE OUT A FESTIVAL’S GOAL IS TO CHARGE AND OVERCHARGE, IT’S EASY TO CONCLUDE THAT THE FESTIVAL’S EVALUATION STANDARDS, SELECTIONS AND FINAL RESULTS BECOME QUESTIONABLE AND SO THE FESTIVAL’S VALUE DROPS UNDER THE POINT WHERE EVEN WINNING DOESN’T HAVE ANY SIGNIFICANCE ANYMORE. When out of 10000 festivals their 13 festivals (including Documentaries Without Borders and Nature Without Borders) are among the only few asking money for winner certificates, and out of the only few, they have the highest prices, a review is absolutely necessary and it works like a “STAY AWAY” sign for other filmmakers. Others reviewed, pointing the same issues. Facing negative reviews, they reply arrogantly or say things like: “Spewing anger and hate because you didn’t get your way is just childish.” Until I convinced myself about the value of their festivals, “My way” would have been to get a reasonable discount for the digital certificate; but the best deal they give to filmmakers is around $55/ digital certificate. Then I expressed my disagreement and brought arguments; whatever is not a positive review, gets labeled by them as “childish” and “spewing anger and hate”. Here is the list of the so called “festivals” including “Documentaries Without Borders International Film Festival”- all coordinated by the same people (director Carlos Etzio Roman) - respectable filmmakers should stay away from: * The Depth of Field International Film Festival. * Docs Without Borders Film Festival. * WRPN Short, Tight, and Loose Film Festival. * WRPN Global Webisode Competition. * WRPN Women's International Film Festival. * Nature Without Borders International Film Festival. * LGBTQ-Unbordered International Film Festival. * So You Think You Can Direct/Act. * WRPN Screenplay Competition. * Hispanic International Film Festival * Sci-Fi/Horror International Film Festival * Religion Faith International Film Festival * Bollywood USA International Film Festival

Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
