Overview

Istanbul's one and only fashion film festival showcasing a selection of works across the globe, presenting an international competition, talks, masterclasses, lectures, workshops, parties and year long online content. As a hot spot for fashion, film and design fields, Istanbul has its own fashion film festival since 2015. A comprehensive program of fashion films are presented to the audience alongside capsule talks with names from fashion and film, The festival also provides a detailed program dedicated to cutting edge design works, art videos, fashion documentaries, workshops, masterclasses and unforgettable parties.   Warning: They posted my film publicly on their YouTube channel, without notice or consent. (Sure, they bury a clause in their legalese about being able to use your film for promotional purposes—but that's scammy; publicly posting entire films for their benefit without permission is NOT cool—even if their lawyers could argue the fine print.) UPDATE: On complaint they removed the film from their channel, so that's good—but my criticism remains: any legit festival will communicate about their intent and get permission to publish films on their own channels, not secretly hide a clause in fine print! I discovered FFFI's overstep during discussions to sell my film for distribution, and this can screw up those opportunities; real content distributors will compensate or at least get clear consent (i.e., signed contract or exhibition agreement).
