Thank you for accepting my film "Balas y Boleros" Great festival with great communication!
Extremely Happy to be a part of this incredible Festival. I love what they stand for and the way they treated all of the selections with importance and pride. I'm also happy to be a small part of History of The Rose Marine Theater. Will do it again in a heart beat if they would have me!
To this day, I only learned there would be a screening on the official website. I was never notified, either on social media or through any of their media outlets, about the selection, schedule, or anything. No communication at all. If it weren't for me looking, I saw that there was indeed a screening, which was clearly not well attended. Perhaps for someone from the United States, the registration fee is affordable, but for those in Mexico, it's expensive. Based on this, I would have saved some money and screened my short in another venue that would give it a worthy presentation.
I was so excited when my film was selected, but I was disappointed by the lack of communication. After the initial selection notice, no additional information was sent out. The week of the event, I kept checking for the website, and while a general schedule was eventually posted, it didn’t include the specific time my film would screen. It was basically saying the festival was from noon until 8 pm or something like that, which made it challenging to make plans to attend. I’m local, but many of the selected filmmakers are not, and they would need more than 12–24 hours’ notice to arrange travel. I truly appreciate the opportunity to have my film included, but clearer and earlier communication with filmmakers would make the experience much better in the future.
I had a wonderful time attending and I look forward to next time! All the films were so inspiring and I was honored to be chosen among them. Thank you to the amazing team for their unrelenting pursuit of being a voice for the fine arts and making it happen!

Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
