Overview
The Hollywood South Urban Film Festival is an Atlanta-based festival devoted to independent cinema with a strong emphasis on African American culture and filmmakers. It is notable for showcasing shorts, feature films, documentaries, series, animations, and music videos from around the world, and for promoting work that may lack major financing or star power. In the festival circuit, it serves as a platform for underrepresented voices and socially conscious storytelling, including a Social Justice Award for films addressing racial, social, or political issues.

Research
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
