Overview
LA Underground Film Forum (LAUFF) is Los Angeles’s premier showcase for experimentation in film, video, and audio-based media. It is notable for championing avant-garde, art-house, independent, and no/low-budget work, with a broad program that includes narrative, documentary, experimental, animation, cult, and genre films. The festival’s significance lies in giving underground filmmakers a venue to present boundary-pushing work and reach audiences for unconventional media art.[2][3]

Research
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
