Overview
The LHIFF in Đà Nẵng is presented as an inclusive international platform for both emerging and established filmmakers, offering a venue for global voices in a coastal Vietnamese city. It is notable mainly as a short-film festival that accepts a wide range of genres and themes, giving it a broad, open-access profile in the festival circuit. Its significance lies in providing international exposure for short-form filmmaking and in contributing to Đà Nẵng’s growing visibility as a film-festival destination.[1][2][5]

Research
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.

How scoring works
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
