Overview
The New York International Children's Film Festival (NYICFF) is North America's largest and most prestigious film festival dedicated to children and teens, showcasing approximately 100 short and feature films from over 30 countries annually. It is notably the only children's film festival in the United States that is Oscar-qualifying, allowing its juried winners in Best Animated and Best Live Action Short Film to compete for Academy Awards. The festival distinguishes itself by presenting provocative, diverse, and unconventional content—including international subtitled films and indie cinema—for audiences aged 3 to 18, while actively prioritizing works by and about historically underrepresented communities.

Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
