Overview
In March 2027 the Ocean Film Festival World Tour will screen over 2 hours of the most inspirational, educational and entertaining films related to the ocean from independent film makers around the globe. IF YOUR FILM DOES NOT HAVE A RELEVANCE TO THE OCEAN - PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT IT! Only Ocean related DOCUMENTARY films under 60 minutes will be considered. Please read the categories of films we are looking for carefully to ensure your film fits our criteria. The Ocean Film Festival World Tour will include a unique selection of films of varying lengths and styles covering topics such as the oceanic exploration and adventure, environment, marine creatures, ocean related sports, coastal cultures and ocean lovers. We are looking for a broad selection of films to fill a 2 hour program. We are searching for one long documentary film (45mins to 60mins) on ocean exploration and adventure and a number of short documentary films (30 minutes and shorter) to make up our program. In 2027 we plan on screening over 50 times in over 20 cities around Australia, over 30 screenings in the UK as well as screenings in Spain, New Zealand and Italy. To be kept up to date on future screenings please join our MAILING LIST from our website www.oceanfilmfestivalworldtour.com and "like" us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/OceanFilmFestivalAustralia?ref=hl

Research
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.

How scoring works
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
