Overview
RPM Fest 2026 will be co-hosted by UMass-Boston, Goethe-institut Boston, CAMLab Harvard University, and the Brattle Theatre (Cambridge) from Nov. 5 to Nov. 8, 2026. Revolutions per Minute festival (RPM Fest) is dedicated to poetic, personal, experimental film, essay film, animation, documentary, video and audiovisual performance. We are looking for any work that experiments with the formal possibilities or hybrid form of film, audiovisual, animation and video under 10 minutes ( and the medium length and essay film categories will accept the work from 10 mins to 30 mins) . Submit your work (produced after Jan. 1st, 2025) through FilmFreeway for RPM26. RPM25 Selections by Sept. 1st, 2026. Due to the number of submissions, RPM Fest regrets that we can only notify applicants whose work is selected for the program.

Wonderful experimental film festival held in a variety of venues in and around Boston. I was only able to attend the program that my film was programmed in, but it was a lovely selection of diverse films. RPM even brings individual artists to Boston to screen their work throughout the year.
