Tier C means thinner legitimacy/clout signals. Fine for some goals; verify venue, fees, and past editions yourself.
The Thus Have I Seen (THIS) Buddhist Film Festival 2023 is the eighth edition of Singapore’s long-running biennial Buddhist film event, organized by Dharma In Action. It is notable for being the city-state’s longest-running and only Buddhist film festival, and in 2023 it screened 19 Buddhist-themed documentaries and feature films from 15 countries in physical-only screenings at Shaw Theatres Lido. The festival’s significance lies in its role as a curated platform for films that explore Buddhist philosophy, culture, and values through cinema, rather than as a competitive awards event.

Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
