Kudos to Write LA competition. Fantastic and timely communications all the way through. One of the few competitions that treats all the semi-finalist level winners to not one, but 5 great prizes to reward your hard work! Something you can hold in your hand is always remembered. Good Job Write LA!
Great Writing Competition - I got fantastic feedback from Tim to help improve my script as well as some nice prizes as a semi-finalist. Highly recommend!
I have been sending material to this competition and its earlier iteration since 2016. Tim is an outstanding coordinator and reviewer. The feedback exemplifies constructive criticism. I didn't get very far this time, but I understand why. Few others communicate so clearly and helpfully. I strongly recommend sending your work here.
A script of mine made it to the Quarter Finals for this program and though I'm disappointed that it didn't go further I very much appreciated the encouraging and respectful communications I received from them.
Tim’s feedback on my screenplays were thoughtful and spot on. Tackling the rewrite now. Thank you!

Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
