Overview
BUK FILM FESTIVAL is a Modena-based film festival organized by Progettarte Officina Culturale as part of the broader BUK cultural initiative. It is notable for combining literary and cinematic programming, with feature films adapted from books or theatre alongside free-theme shorts, animation, and documentaries, and for awarding prizes judged by both an international jury and the audience. The festival also includes workshops, meetings, seminars, and an opening-night world premiere, giving it a strong cultural profile within Modena’s independent arts scene.

Research
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.

How scoring works
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
