Overview
The Darkside New Jersey Film Festival is a horror- and oddities-oriented showcase held as part of the Darkside New Jersey Art & Oddities Market, an event that grew out of the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market. It is notable for programming strange, eerie, surreal, macabre, and experimental films, making it a niche destination for dark genre and outsider cinema rather than a general-interest festival. Its significance lies in its role as a specialized platform for unconventional work within New Jersey’s broader DIY and underground arts scene.

Research
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
