Overview

The Mostra de Cinema das Missões is a free, open-air film showcase held in the historic Sítio Arqueológico de São Miguel Arcanjo, in the Missões region of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It is notable for combining cinema with a UNESCO World Heritage setting and for programming films that engage with heritage, Indigenous peoples, memory, identity, and the missioneiro cultural universe, including both local and international works. It has grown into a cultural event that promotes audience development and reflection while linking audiovisual production to the historical legacy of the Jesuit-Guarani Missions.

Research

Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.

Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
