The Rivercity Underground Film Festival in San Antonio was an independent showcase for offbeat and alternative cinema, with entries and awards recorded for categories such as animated student shorts, action shorts, and fan films. Available records suggest it functioned as a grassroots, locally recognized festival rather than a major national market, with selections and awards noted in filmmaker listings and festival archives.

Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
