The Trash Film Program at Istrakon is a Croatian film festival that celebrates unconventional, low-budget science fiction and fantasy films, often with a focus on absurd and bizarre narratives. Established to honor imaginative and not-so-serious creations, it provides a platform for amateur and independent filmmakers to showcase their work and fosters a community for genre enthusiasts. The festival is notable for its inclusive environment and its emphasis on offbeat and experimental storytelling within the sci-fi and fantasy genres [saturation.io](https://saturation.io/film-festivals/trash-film-program-istrakon-2024).
