Overview
Abertoir is Wales' premier and the UK's longest-running horror-specific film festival, held annually in November at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre in Aberystwyth. It showcases a diverse mix of new big-budget horror premieres, cult classics, independent films, and horror/fantasy short films from around the world, while also featuring concerts, theatre, and masterclasses. Recognized as a festival of national significance and a member of the Méliès International Festivals Federation, it awards the prestigious Méliès d'argent for the best European fantastic short film.
