It is notable for its cross-regional mission and for programming feature films, documentaries, shorts, and experimental work from Europe, Latin America, and Asia, making it a key platform for cultural exchange rather than a mainstream commercial showcase.[3][7][13]

Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
