Absolutely amazing festival, facilitating a fantastic programme both In-person and Online. I was introduced to so many amazing other filmmakers in the Online Programme and their films and passion was unrivalled. Thanks for having DOPAMINE!
Cannot recommend Brighton highly enough. The comms throughout were great and even though we didn't get Official Selection, as an Honorable Mention, we were given the chance to screen our film online and potentially have more in person screenings throughout the year. This gives filmmakers the best possible platform to showcase their work! Will definitely be submitting again!
Had an amazing few days at Brighton this year. James, Sarah & team made a really fun and open atmosphere across both venues. RECOMMEND.
An excellent selection of films and a very hight standard of curatorship. Very welcoming and accessible to filmmakers, with comped tickets for filmmakers and discounted tickets for friends and family. Film reviews and interviews with the filmmakers are both available on their blog and it's a great way to get the word out about your work.
We’re incredibly proud to have won Best Horror at the Brighton Rocks International Film Festival with our film RING RING. Huge thanks to James and the entire festival team for making us feel so welcome and supported throughout. The warmth, care, and passion behind this festival are truly special — we left feeling celebrated, inspired, and deeply grateful. We also had the chance to see some phenomenal films that reminded us of the power of cinema to connect us to our shared humanity. Brighton Rocks is a gem, and we’re honoured to have been part of it and would absolutely attend again in the future!

Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
