Overview
The Buenos Aires International Film Festival is best known as BAFICI, one of Latin America’s leading festivals for independent cinema and a major showcase for adventurous, politically engaged, and artistically unconventional films. Founded in 1999 in Buenos Aires, it is significant for its large scale, strong programming of international, Argentine, documentary, short, and experimental work, and its influence as a key platform for new filmmakers and world premieres in the festival circuit.

Research
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
