Overview
The Short Film Corner (SFC) | Rendez-vous Industry is a non-competitive forum within the Cannes Film Festival exclusively dedicated to short film professionals, serving as a vital meeting place for filmmakers and industry decision-makers to foster co-production, distribution, and networking. It showcases a global catalog of 500–600 short films from over 82 countries, with eligibility requiring films under 35 minutes produced after June 1, 2023, that have not been broadcast online. Its significance lies in being an increasingly respected hub for emerging talent, particularly those transitioning from shorts to feature films, while offering access to a dedicated Buyers Corner for genuine short film purchasers.

Research
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
