Overview
COMEDY FEST – Isle of Laughter is a new international short-film festival held in Šilo on the island of Krk, Croatia, organized by the Spirit association in 2026. It is notable for presenting comedy as more than punchlines, highlighting satire, parody, absurdism, mockumentary, black humor, animation, and other playful film forms, with free public admission and an international open call. The festival’s significance comes from its positioning as a fresh, independent comedy-focused event in Croatia, launched by organizers with experience from the long-running Uhvati Film festival, and from its role in promoting short, non-commercial, audience-friendly filmmaking.[1][2][3][6][7]

Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
