Noir in Festival (formerly Courmayeur Noir in Festival) is Europe's leading film and literature festival dedicated to noir cinema, crime fiction, and thrillers, held annually in December across Como and Milan since moving from Courmayeur in 2016. Notable for being the only Italian festival that historically unites cinema and literature under the theme of mystery, it showcases international premieres of genre films alongside literary competitions including the prestigious Scerbanenco and Raymond Chandler awards. Variety has named it one of the 50 international events not to miss, and it is often described as the "only true Italian Sundance."

Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
