Overview
The Malta Dance Film Festival celebrates the intersection of movement and cinema, inviting artists worldwide to explore how dance translates through the lens. It aims to position Malta as a meeting point for dance and film, showcasing works that challenge form, perspective, and narrative [edencinemas.com.mt](https://www.edencinemas.com.mt/malta-dance-film-festival-2026). The festival supports artist sustainability by applying fees only after a film has been officially selected, and it spotlights emerging and established creators whose work bridges genres, cultures, and disciplines [filmfreeway.com](https://filmfreeway.com/maltadancefilmfestival).

Research
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
