Malter Filmfesztivál: A Wanderer Festival Across Hungary’s Cultural Landscape Malter Filmfesztivál is one of Hungary’s most exciting cultural events, with a focus on short and feature films presented to audiences across major Hungarian art festivals. Building on the success of its previous editions, the festival continues its wandering journey to renowned events such as Malom Fesival, Ördögkatlan Festival, Fekete Zaj, and Kerekdomb Festival. The festival's program is carefully curated, showcasing a high-quality selection of approximately 40 short films and 10 feature films, chosen through an exclusive invitation. The films are presented to diverse audiences, with the aim of fostering connections between filmmakers and the public, while promoting works on social media platforms to enhance visibility and attract the attention of distributors, agents, and producers. Each year, a professional jury (including film critic Kata Anna Váró, Apolló Cinema director Tamás Fejér, and journalist Miklós Szénási) evaluates the films, with awards presented at an official ceremony in the fall. The selected films are showcased at festivals across Hungary, with additional screenings for the best works in the upcoming spring. Cooperation Partners: University of Debrecen Theatre, Bán Imre Cultural Studies Collegium, and University of Debrecen, Faculty of Humanities, Arts Center. Malter Filmfesztivál: Egy vándormozi a magyar kulturális tájon A Malter Filmfesztivál Magyarország egyik legizgalmasabb kulturális eseménye, amely rövid- és egész estés filmeket mutat be a legnagyobb hazai művészeti fesztiválokon. A tavalyi sikerre építve, a fesztivál továbbra is vándorol a legismertebb eseményeken, mint a Malom Fesztivált megelőző alkotótábor, Ördögkatlan Fesztivál, Fekete Zaj és Kerekdomb Fesztivál. A program gondosan válogatott, minőségi rövidfilmeket és egész estés filmeket kínál, összesen körülbelül 40 rövidfilmet és 10 egész estés alkotást, melyeket meghívásos alapon választanak ki. A filmek a közönség elé kerülnek, és közösségi média felületeink segítségével népszerűsítjük őket, hogy közelebb hozzuk a filmeseket a közönséghez, és felkeltsük a forgalmazók, ügynökök és gyártók figyelmét. Minden évben egy szakmai zsűri (Váró Kata Anna filmkritikus, Fejér Tamás az Apolló Mozi igazgatója, Szénási Miklós újságíró) értékeli a filmeket, és az ősz folyamán hivatalos díjátadón jutalmazza őket. A beválogatott filmek a fesztiválokon kerülnek levetítésre, és az előző év legjobb filmjei tavasszal további vetítéseken vesznek részt. Szakmai partnerek: DESzínház, Bán Imre Kultúratudományi Szakkolégium, és a DE-BTK Művészeti Központ.

View on FilmFreewayFilmFreeway reviews are filmmaker opinions, not our score. Cross-check red flags before paying fees.
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
