The New York International Film Awards (NYIFA) is a monthly film and script competition based in Manhattan, with quarterly public screening events and IMDb qualification. It is notable for its broad international scope and for awarding a wide range of formats, including features, shorts, documentaries, animations, experimental films, student work, web series, music videos, trailers, commercials, and scripts.[1][8][9] In the film festival circuit, NYIFA functions primarily as an awards-and-screening platform that offers recurring recognition and public exhibition rather than a single annual showcase.[1][8]

Being selected for NYIFA was a wonderful experience and a real encouragement as a filmmaker. It was inspiring to be included among such creative and dedicated artists. The festival provides a valuable platform for sharing independent work and celebrating unique voices. I’m grateful for the opportunity and would happily recommend it to fellow filmmakers.
Thanks a lot for the selection 😀 Recommended!
Very honored to have won best sci-fi film! Thank you
It is an honor to receive the Best LGBTQ Film. It was an amazing experience. We wish NYIFA continued success and growth. Thank you for this honor.
Wonderful experience and incredibly well-organizing festival. Also very responsive to questions.
FilmFreeway reviews are filmmaker opinions, not our score. Cross-check red flags before paying fees.
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
