What a brilliant festival! Staff and volunteers alike were accommodating, informative, friendly and professional. Great networking opportunity and venues. Highly recommended to enter your work in this top-notch festival.
It's one of the most organized festivals in the world. They are very on-time and they have great management.
Amazing festival, a must in Austria
Thank you for showing "this, too, will be liquid" at Vienna Shorts - it was a pleasure! I am especially honored to have won the Jury Prize for best Newcomer 2026! The curation and quality of short films is amazing. I would recommend the experience to everybody!

FilmFreeway reviews are filmmaker opinions, not our score. Cross-check red flags before paying fees.
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
Scores are calculated from structural indicators: accreditations, physical screenings, award category count, submission frequency, and acceptance rate. Higher scores reflect more verifiable legitimacy signals.
