Overview
The Telluride Film Festival is a prestigious, non-competitive four-day event held annually in Telluride, Colorado, during Labor Day weekend that celebrates film as an art form rather than a business. It is notably the only major festival that keeps its lineup secret until the first day of screenings and focuses on new feature films, documentaries, shorts, and forgotten classics, with a strong tradition of requiring North American premieres for eligibility. The festival is widely regarded as the 'Tiffany of film festivals' and serves as a critical launchpad for Oscar contenders and emerging talent, having debuted works by directors like Jim Jarmusch, Michael Moore, and Alfonso Cuarón.

Research
Live web research is off to control API cost. This shows cached scheduled research when available, plus analysis from our database.
Hard research (cheap model + thorough prompt) runs on a cron for suspicious festivals; a biweekly job refreshes others. No live API calls from the site.
